| cthu1hu | I like the way this looks. I have a feeling though, that it's much brighter on your screen. I can't see the figure in the wallpaper or your console on my LCD screen. And all I see on your winamp skin is the text. You might look into calibrating your monitor... The subdued font colors are top notch though; professional looking. The menu hilite clashes a little bit to my eyes.. (keep it simple!) and I think the toolbar would look better if it shared the menu title's gradient/bevel. Sorry for rambling ;) |
| crowmag | Yeah, calibrating your monitor is a good idea but most of the sites you find have to do with professional image manipulation and if you follow the advice there you will end up with a gamma setting that is just too damned bright. The most important thing that I've found to do is to make sure your Black Level is set correctly. Windows uses a default gamma of 2.4 which is what you want to tweak it to - not the 1.8/2.2 that most sites will advise. Just keep this in mind: Black Level = Brightness - Gamma = Contrast.
